    To earn the Azure Developer certification, you must pass the following exam:

    AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure

    NOTE:  AZ-204 is the updated version of the existing exam for the Microsoft Azure Developer Associate Exam: AZ-203.

  • Does this new exam and certification replace any existing Azure exams?

    Yes, AZ-204: Developing Solutions for Microsoft Azure is a replacement for AZ-203. This update has gone live since 24th Feb by Microsoft. 

  • When will the old Azure certification competencies expire and when will the new requirements become valid?

    The AZ-204 beta has gone live from 24th Feb 2020 with 90 days of cool down period. If you are preparing for the AZ-203 you will have until three months( 31st May 2020) past the official release of the new version in order to take the exam. After that, the old exam will be retired.
