Introduction and Background
I began my career in finance, supported by a degree in accounting and finance, and eventually worked my way up to Head of Finance. Over time, my interest in technology and systems led me into ERP consulting, where I spent several years helping organizations optimize their processes. I later completed a master’s in IT, which broadened my scope into larger change initiatives, ERP projects, and CRM systems. Today, my work spans finance, IT, and transformation—an evolution that naturally drew me toward understanding data more deeply.
Recognition of Need for Change
I realized I needed to upskill when I started actively searching for ways to improve our reporting and consolidate data more effectively. The more I looked into it, the more I understood that data strategy was the missing piece. That’s when I knew I needed formal learning to help me approach these challenges with confidence.
Discovery of Simplilearn
I discovered the Simplilearn program while searching online for training that could help me handle data consolidation more effectively. What caught my attention was the bite-sized video format and the fact that the program was backed by Imperial College. That academic credibility made it much easier to present the course to my employer and secure their support.
