Introduction
My name is Srikanth Thakula, and I have over 16 years of experience in the IT industry. I currently work as a Principal Software Engineer at Concentrix Catalyst, where I have been with the organization for around 11 years. Throughout my career, I have worked across multiple domains, including banking, logistics, and transportation, with a significant part of my experience focused on the railroad industry. I currently support a railroad client and lead a team of eight engineers across Nebraska and India. With a strong foundation in software development, I have always been interested in exploring new technologies and expanding my technical expertise.
Reason to Upskill
As technology continues to evolve, I believe it is important to keep learning and exploring new technical skills. I had previously started learning Azure and later became interested in AI engineering and Agentic AI. Before enrolling in the program, my exposure to AI was primarily limited to using large language models and prompt engineering. I wanted to go beyond that and understand how AI agents work, how different frameworks can be integrated, and how end-to-end AI solutions can be designed. My decision to upskill was driven by a personal goal to learn new technologies, strengthen my technical capabilities, and apply them to my professional work.
