Got A 70% Hike Through Cybersecurity Upskilling
Introduction
I currently work as a Technical Project Manager at Allianz Technology, with over six years of experience spanning Project Management, Agile delivery, and Vulnerability Management. My day-to-day involves project planning, stakeholder communication, running Agile ceremonies, and coordinating vulnerability validation and remediation tracking through ServiceNow. I was comfortable in this space, but I reached a point where I wanted to go beyond coordinating security processes and actually build deeper technical expertise, so I decided to enroll in the AI-Integrated Cyber Security Expert Master’s Program.
Need for Upskilling
Even though my role already touched cybersecurity, I felt a gap between what I was managing operationally and what I truly understood technically. Threats were evolving fast, AI was starting to shape both attacks and defenses, and I didn’t want to rely on others for that depth of knowledge. I wanted a stronger grasp of security concepts, ethical hacking, and AI-integrated practices. This is what led me to the AI-Integrated Cyber Security Expert Master’s Program, so I could eventually take on bigger, more strategic responsibilities.
Why Simplilearn
I chose the AI-Integrated Cyber Security Expert Master’s Program with Simplilearn because it offered a curriculum that felt genuinely relevant to where the industry was heading, along with a flexible format of live classes, self-paced modules, and recorded sessions that fit around my job. The added Career Assist support, resume building, mock interviews, and LinkedIn guidance, made it clear this program was built for real career growth, not just a certificate.
Learning Experience
My overall experience was excellent. The mentors were knowledgeable, patient, and quick to clear my doubts, the content was well organized around practical cybersecurity and AI-integrated security concepts, and the hands-on labs gave me real exposure to vulnerability management and security scenarios rather than just theory. By the end, I felt noticeably stronger both technically and in confidence.
Career Impact
The impact showed up quickly at work. I became more effective in handling security-related activities and project coordination, and this growth translated into a salary hike of around 70%, along with greater responsibilities in my role. Just as important was the personal confidence boost, completing the AI-Integrated Cyber Security Expert Master's Program made me feel genuinely more capable and job-ready.
Conclusion
Looking ahead, I want to grow into a senior leadership role that blends Project Management and Cybersecurity, eventually becoming a Program Manager or Cybersecurity Leader driving large-scale security and digital transformation initiatives. This journey taught me that comfort in a role isn't a reason to stop learning.
