Introduction
My name is Christina, and I bring around 10 years of experience in project management. I completed my undergraduate degree in Communications and Information Sciences from the University of Alabama, majoring in Public Relations and minoring in Sociology. I began my career as an intern at a financial technology company, where I was initially hired for a communications role but soon transitioned into project management. Early on, I worked on website development projects and successfully contributed to launching around 50 websites. Over time, I expanded my experience into marketing and advertising, working on campaigns across industries such as retail and banking, including social media and email marketing initiatives. I later moved into working with paid media teams in San Francisco, where I advanced into a senior project management role. Most recently, I’ve been working on launching a family podcast, which further fueled my desire to strengthen my professional capabilities.
Reason to Upskill
After several years in project management, I realized that while my experience was extensive, formal certification would help me refine my skills and align my work with global industry standards. As I started taking on more ownership, including personal initiatives like my podcast, I wanted to ensure I was applying structured and efficient project management practices. My goal was to deepen my understanding of key methodologies and enhance my ability to manage projects more strategically. Pursuing this certification felt like the right step to support my long-term career growth and open up new opportunities.
