With 9+ years of experience, a B.Tech degree, and a strong urge to learn more, I am working at A.P. Moller – Maersk as a Change Management Partner. But two years back, I didn’t know what change management was. Simplilearn has brought about a transformation in my career, and here I share with you my journey. 

The Challenges 

When I took the ITIL® 4 Foundation Certification Training Course in 2021, I was working with Infosys as a Technical Analyst. My job required ITIL Framework, but my knowledge was limited. There were some aspects I didn’t know. A constant desire to sharpen my skills and the requirements of my role in the ITIL framework made me take the plunge. I decided to upskill to serve my clients better. 

Finding Simplilearn: A Treasure Trove of Information

I first heard about Simplilearn from my friends. They recommended the platform, saying that it provides a variety of courses online with much-needed flexibility. To be sure of the facts, I researched Simplilearn feedback and complaints but could not find any negative aspects. Intrigued to learn more, I downloaded the app, and it was a hub of knowledge. The app is really good, and the courses are for a lifetime. The course material was comprehensive and covered all the topics so beautifully that I don’t think I have missed anything. I didn’t even have to reach out to customer support because I was not stuck anywhere.

The Incessant Impact

The certification brought along a cascade of favorable events. I learned new skills such as Change Management, Service Delivery Management, Vendor Interaction and Stakeholder Management, and they became my biggest asset in my journey. On completing the course, I was upgraded from Technical Analyst to Incident Manager at Infosys with a salary hike of 20%. I started managing a team of 15 people and soon became Technology Lead. 

No, this isn’t all. I joined Maersk as a Change Management Partner with a 50% salary hike this year. As the name suggests, my current role requires me to undertake change management which I learnt during my course at Simplilearn. I am leading a team of 40 people, and it means a lot to me. I have seen a drastic change– from barely knowing change management a few years back to mastering the subject. And I owe it to my certification.
