The Journey

My journey into the professional world began in 2009 when I embarked on my career as a Systems Engineer with Infosys. Climbing the ladder, I was promoted to Senior Systems Engineer in 2011, marking my dedication and passion for my field. My quest for knowledge and growth led me to the United States in 2014, aiming to enhance my academic credentials with an MBA. This decision paved the way for a series of enriching experiences, starting with an internship at Equinix in business analysis. My journey continued as I navigated through various roles, including a Financial Analyst at Equinix, Lead Business Analyst at OGE Energy Group, Product Owner at NextEra Energy Resources, and Program Manager with Tech Mahindra. In 2019, I returned to Equinix as a Business Systems Analyst, a role that recently saw me ascend to Senior Business Systems Analyst, coupled with a gratifying 30% salary increase.

The Challenge

The catalyst for my decision to upskill came during my tenure as a Business Systems Analyst at Equinix. Recognizing the need to enhance my performance and contribute more effectively to my team, I sought out the TOGAF & ITIL Foundation courses. My goal was to deepen my understanding of our business systems and frameworks, ensuring that I could bring more value to my role and, by extension, to the organization.

My Career Journey So Far

I started my career in 2016 as a developer in a small organization after I completed my studies. After that, I moved to Cameroon and worked as an Application Support Engineer. After working there for a few years, I wanted to understand this role better and grow professionally. So, I took the ITIL Certification Course. I am currently working in France as a Genesys Expert in Groupe Covea.

The Challenge 

The motivation behind upskilling myself was to increase my skills in the IT domain. I wanted to enhance my knowledge and understanding of various new technologies in IT and grow professionally while expanding my expertise.

My needs were answered when I came across Simplilearn. The ITIL Certification course was exactly what I was looking for. The approach and content of the course were similar to my interests and domain. The program had a comprehensive curriculum and clearly explained every concept, accompanied by tests and exercises. 

Moreover, it is designed in such a way that I could easily manage time to complete the course. The video was kept short, so the concept was understandable. The ITIL course was very interesting and easy to learn. My learning experience with Simplilearn was outstanding.
