I live in Denver, working as an SEO analyst with Endeavour Business Media. My journey to getting this job wasn’t easy. I did in-house SEO agency work for a couple of years and then spent 10 years managing an e-commerce site for a local business. After being laid off in 2020 due to COVID-19, I wanted to get noticed by recruiters. I took a job in the ad traffic department of a broadcast radio/podcast corporation. I hoped to move into pay-per-click marketing with that company. Still, I decided I needed to upskill in digital marketing and enrolled in Simplilearn’s Digital Marketing Program.

I found a lot of value in the video-learning aspects of the course. After completing the first module, I was sure I wanted to pursue SEO. Simplilearn’s live classes were beneficial as the instructor discussed different tools, but most of my learning was obtained through the videos. The course helped me land a new job and to perform efficiently in my new role as an SEO analyst.

Looking forward, I also want to own content sites that are monetised with ads and affiliate links as a side source of revenue.
