Still Curious? Answers to Common SQL Questions

You don't need a programming background to start SQL training courses. Basic comfort with structured data and simple logic helps you hit the ground running.

Helpful (not required) before you enroll:

  • Spreadsheet basics: Sort, filter, basic formulas, reading tables (especially useful if coming from Excel)

  • Data basics: What rows/columns represent, why unique IDs matter, how duplicates skew totals

  • Logic habits: AND/OR thinking, conditional filtering, spotting mismatched values

  • Numbers + dates: Averages, totals, date ranges for monthly or quarterly reports
