• Is this course free?

  Yes, it's completely free. You don't pay anything for the lessons or the certificate.

• Can I still take this course if I've only worked with data in Excel?

  You can. Knowing a few basic SQL terms like tables and queries will help, but the course explains things as it goes. If you've handled data in Excel, you're already off to a good start.

• What will I actually build in this course?

  You'll build a cloud-based SQL management system on Azure. That means creating a database, setting it up, controlling access, and working with the data inside.

• How is Azure SQL Database different from regular SQL Server?

  With regular SQL Server, you install and look after everything yourself. With Azure SQL Database, Microsoft handles things like updates, backups, and hardware, so you can focus on your data.

• Will I have to spend money on Azure to practice?

  Most likely not. Microsoft gives new users a free account with some credits, which is usually enough for the demos. Just delete what you create after practicing so you don't get charged later.

• How long is the whole course?

  It's about an hour of video in total, split across three lessons. You can finish it in one sitting or spread it out over a few days.

• Do I need to install anything on my computer?

  Most of the work happens in your browser through the Azure portal. You may want a tool to connect to your database and run queries, and the demos will show you how that works.

• Is this course only for people who want to become database admins?

  Not at all. Developers, data analysts, and IT professionals all work with databases, so knowing how to set one up in the cloud is useful in many roles.

• Will this course help me if my company already uses AWS or Google Cloud?

• Which Azure certification should I look at after this?

  If you're new to Azure, start with AZ-900 (Azure Fundamentals). If you want to focus on databases, DP-300 (Azure Database Administrator Associate) is a great next step.

  Definitely. Once you've built the system yourself, take a few screenshots, write a short note on what you did, and add it to your portfolio or GitHub.

• What's the best thing to do right after finishing?
