Taking Time to Upskill During Recovery

I was unemployed for some time due to severe health issues, which created a gap in my professional career and made me fall behind. During this time, I was also unemployed. Therefore, I decided to upskill, so I opted for the Post Graduate Program In Business Analysis from Purdue University and Simplilearn.

I got my first job immediately after the class but stayed there for only two months. Then I looked for another job for two months and got the one I have now. I think it was challenging since I ended up talking to three or four recruiters per week. Despite all these leads, it still took me two months to find this job.

Motivation for Certification

I recently upskilled myself through the Business Analysis Master’s Program with Simplilearn.  I upskilled myself to enhance my knowledge of Business Analysis and get certified. I came to the United States from Peru 17 years ago, and today I work as the assistant professor of human resources and management and international business at Midway University in the Bluegrass State of Kentucky. My Career Journey So Far

I started my career in India in 2006 as a developer and became a project manager. Later I moved to the US in 2014 and joined Infosys as a Business System Analyst. I have 13+ years of experience.
