As documented by Omkar Mayekar

As an aspiring software developer, it was an offer I couldn’t refuse. I needed to learn full-stack Java to move forward in my career and discovered that Simplilearn offers a money-back guarantee for graduates of its Full Stack Java Developer Program.

As a business analyst, I was dependent upon Java experts to write code. I saw this as an opportunity to upskill my resume and learn new technology.

After completing the course, I was not only equipped with new skills in a very sought-after technology, but I also got a job as a software developer through Simplilearn’s Job Guarantee program — with a decent salary hike.

A Full Stack of Opportunities

full-stack web developer can develop both client and server software. Through Simplilearn, students learn to build an end-to-end application, test and deploy code, store data using MongoDB, and more. Information technology, banking and finance, ecommerce, stock market agencies, and telecommunications all use Java, so the career opportunities are vast.

Completing Full Stack Java Developer training can launch a career as a full stack developer, front-end engineer, full stack engineer, and a software engineer.

Simplilearn offers a 100 percent money-back guarantee if a graduate isn’t placed in a job within 180 days of completing its Full Stack Java Developer Program. It’s a pretty safe bet given the field’s job prospects: The U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics predicts an eight percent growth in the job outlook for web developers between 2019 and 2029, and 22 percent for software developers.

A full stack web developer is a well-paying job: In India, the average base salary of a full stack developer is ₹582,659 a year. In the U.S., the average salary is $94,262.

A Self-Motivated Professional

I always hoped to grow my career in the IT industry. When I joined Pelican.ai, I was introduced to many unfamiliar technologies. Whenever I faced a roadblock, I had to get external help to solve the problem; I had to consult with people who are well versed in Java to help me.

I decided I needed to upskill in Java to become a knowledgeable, independent professional. While comparing e-learning platforms, I discovered Simplilearn’s job guarantee program and figured it was a win-win situation.

I found Simplilearn’s curriculum appropriately rigorous and targeted. Simplilearn is true to its claim of being an online boot camp. Their platform is dedicated to helping learners upskill their portfolios and to achieve positive results.

I appreciated that the course projects have tight deadlines because it added motivation to complete the projects on time. I also found value in the course’s capstone project in helping me improve my knowledge of Java.

Whenever I had questions, the response time was very short. Because of Simplilearn’s efficient response system, all my queries were solved within minutes.

After taking four years off to care for my young child, I decided to re-enter the job market. However, I had three obstacles: I lacked an IT background, needed to upskill myself, and needed to find a course that provided flexibility.

I am Bharathy, an electrical and electronics graduate from Chennai, located on the Bay of Bengal in eastern India. In 2018, I left my job to get married, and I moved to Bangalore to live with my husband. Today, we are the parents of a two-year-old son.

Last year, I decided to upskill myself to focus on my career and re-enter the workforce after being away for four years.

I chose Simplilearn’s Full Stack Java Developer (Job Guarantee Program) course because it offered greater scope. Simplilearn is a major upskilling platform with excellent reviews. Also, I thought that Simplilearn’s job guarantee program would be a better fit for me.

My experience with Simplilearn was amazing. The course was worth the money, it was high quality, and the live classes were very good. Coming from a non-IT background, I did not have any knowledge of Java, but the Java classes by Professor Nisha Waikar were extremely helpful. The live classes addressed and answered any doubts and questions I had.

Sure, it was difficult at first because I had to take care of my child. So, even four-hour classes on weekends were difficult. I used to take two-hour classes, and during the break, I would feed my child and put him to sleep.

But Simplilearn’s flexibility was key. They offered recordings of live classes, which I used to complete my course. I would post my questions on a Q&A thread where I was able to connect with trainers and get my questions answered.

Also, the trainers were open-minded and cooperative. Some trainers posted their LinkedIn links, which allowed me to connect with them and ask questions.

Initially, I lacked confidence in whether I would be able to get a job in the IT field, but my confidence grew by the end of the course. My certification helped me land a job at Capgemini, a job I obtained soon after completing Simplilearn’s capstone project. It was not just a career transition — it also changed my life.

Brushing up on my IT skills

I left my job in 2018 after I got married and moved to Bangalore. Then, I took a four-year break from my career to look after my family. Because I wanted to enter the IT sector and had no IT background, I needed a fresh set of skills. The full stack Java developer profile is at its peak, and it comes with many options. So, I decided to upskill myself and take up the Full Stack Java Developer (Job Guarantee Program).

Simplilearn’s reputation made it the obvious choice

Everyone knows that Simplilearn is a major upskilling platform. I read many reviews before applying for the course, and every review I read was positive. Also, I felt that the job guarantee program offered by Simplilearn would be a better fit for me, considering the four-year gap in my career.

My experience with Simplilearn

It was worth the money. I am pleased with the results. The course quality was good, and the self-learning and live classes were also suitable. Initially, I was not aware of Java, but Java classes by Nisha Waikar were beneficial. All my doubts were well addressed and answered during the live classes, and I feel that she made every effort to make learners understand basic concepts.

After completing the Simplilearn course, many reputable companies contacted me after seeing that I had a Simplilearn certification — even though I didn’t even apply for the jobs. Recruiters just see the Simplilearn badge and believe its students have a grasp of the subject.

I come from a non-IT background. Getting a job without any certification would have been difficult. But Simplilearn’s course gave me the knowledge I needed. The certification helped me land a job at Capgemini, which I got soon after completing the capstone project.

I received a B. Tech in Computer Science and Engineering at BML Munjal University. I didn’t get the placement I wanted, so I started working in my family’s business. But I always wanted to be in the corporate IT field. I wanted to justify my degree and put it to work.

I needed to upskill and eventually found Simplilearn’s Full Stack Java Developer course.

I chose Simplilearn’s course because it has a very comprehensive syllabus. I also  asked my peers about the course and saw it had good reviews. The job guarantee was another major driving factor in choosing Simplilearn.

The learning experience was good and very engaging. I especially liked learning through projects. They gave me a real idea and understanding of the material. The course had detailed self-learning modules and live weekend classes, so it was easier to manage everything. The labs also offered good practice. I could refer to the ebooks, guides, and recordings at any time. The course made me better at time management and problem-solving, as well as helped me be more consistent and efficient.

After the course, I received job assistance from Simplilearn and secured interviews at five companies. I was offered a job at MYCOM and joined the company as a software developer in October 2021. I am thankful to Simplilearn for helping me get where I wanted and creating a strong foundation for me.

I’m from Delhi and completed my B. Tech degree in Electronics and Communications from Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak in 2015. I then prepared for Civil Services for four years, but my career ended up taking a different path. In 2020, I joined TwocentIT as an intern with a stipend of ₹ 6000 per month. There, I learned basic Java and developed an interest in Java development.

The pandemic and subsequent lockdown resulted in salary decreases. I wanted to acquire some skills with high market demand. I enjoyed programming in college and decided to enroll in Simplilearn’s Full Stack Java Development Program. I chose Simplilearn because I did a lot of research and concluded that it’s the best online boot camp. The course prices are very reasonable compared to other platforms, and the reviews are good. They also offer an EMI payment option, which was convenient for me.

During the course, I learned about technologies like Springboot and DevOps, which I wasn’t previously aware of. The course curriculum was very good and was explained professionally. With Simplilearn’s guidance, I was able to improve my approach to studying and feel comfortable with the new technology.

The best part of Simplilearn is its faculty and their teaching skills. I remember one instructor named Virendra Sharma. The way he taught Java and the examples he gave was so helpful.
