Course description

  • What are the career benefits of this course?

Robotic Process Automation (RPA) is an advanced technology that automates huge quantities of redundant tasks by applying artificial intelligence (AI). It is becoming an increasingly popular technology in modern industries such as banking and finance, healthcare, insurance, etc. due to its wide spectra of benefits: reliable, customer-friendly, less cost. The average annual starting salary of a Robotics Engineer in the US is $92,862. The global RPA market is expected to reach $3.11 billion by 2024, according to a new report by Grand View Research, Inc. and there are more than 2,100 RPA jobs worldwide.

RPA with UiPath offers a complete and scalable solution that provides specialized recorders for desktop and web apps, an extensive activity library, powerful debugging, third-party integration, and centralized server-based licensing.

What are the benefits of this course

  • What are the course objectives?

    • RPA developer
    • RPA consultant
    • RPA architect

  • What are the prerequisites for this course?

    • Simplilearn’s “Introduction to Robotic Process Automation” and “Core Java” courses are recommended, to follow this course more clearly. The courses are given as free along with this course.
    •  The course is ideal for anyone with a technical background. Basic programming knowledge of any development language (C#, .Net, VB, Java, etc.) is a prerequisite.

  • What projects are included in this RPA with Uipath Course?

Simplilearn’s RPA using UiPath course is hands-on training that will help you apply your knowledge and create bots. You will work on the following projects:

    Project 1:
Objective: Update Loan Application in the system using OCR to reduce the manual errors using RPA
    Domain: Banking and Financial Services
    Background of the problem statement:
Banking and Financial services companies receive a lot of loan applications. There are various types of loans like Personal loan, Housing loan, Travel loan, etc. The process is prone to manual errors that might happen during the application process. You will be using UiPath RPA tool to reduce the manual errors with the help of cognitive bots. As part of this exercise, you will be using third-party applications, as well-
Quickbooks - to get the client information and his loan amount
Sugar CRM - to get the entire details of the client’s company and other prospects and automate the process in real time.

    Project 2:
Objective: Defining the Clinical Trial Operations for Approval using RPA – UiPath
    Domain: Pharmaceuticals – Clinical Trials
    Background of the problem statement:
There are many pharmaceutical companies which discover drugs. After the discovery, they try to test the drug in animals and selected humans. The entire process requires approval at various stages and it is called clinical trial operations management. There are many mundane tasks and many manual errors. We will be using RPA tool to automate the process. You will be using third party tools-
Invoicely to get the invoice details
Adobe utilities to get the word or excel file converted to PDF for real-time integration of the whole process.

    Project 3:
Objective: Monitor Transaction logs (generated by the database) size and archive the identified logs based on a predefined size set by the Administrator.

Domain: This use case is not specific to any domain. Instead, this can be implemented to monitor any databases.
    Background of the Problem Statement:
An MNC has a storage location in which database which stores transactions from multiple applications is hosted. Due to the high volume of transaction logs generated daily, disk space gets filled up quickly and needs log files to be archived at regular intervals to avoid application downtime.
     Applications involved:
    •         Command Prompt
    •         SQL Server Management Studio

    Project 4:

Objective: Automate Claims processing using RPA

    Domain: Insurance

Background of the Problem Statement: An Insurance Provider wants to automate Claims processing using RPA. He receives filled claims forms in PDF through Email. Attachments in the email should be downloaded to a local system. Read the claim form using OCR and extract the required information. Validate if all the mandatory information is available, if not, respond to the sender requesting for missing information and update the same in an excel. For the forms with all required information, update the claims system and send a mail notification to Claims processor.

    Project 5:

Objective: Automate the Telecom- Personal Interactive Assistant
    Domain: Telecom
    Background of the problem statement:
Telecom companies have many customers for interaction. The interaction will be for many issues starting from usage plans, network issues, billing, and service levels in case of enterprises. This use case includes multiple processes and there are a lot of manual errors as they are not integrated. You need to identify the workflow for the process mapping and recognize the application and bot integration to find the solution.

    Project 6:
Objective: Defining customer service levels follow up with Automation using Salesforce.
Domain: Sales CRM - Customer Services
    Background of the problem statement:
Organizations often have a lot of clients and various service levels. The system involves a lot of manual processes. You need to follow up on the service levels using a sales CRM tool like Salesforce. You can shift their staff away from low-value, repeatable tasks toward value-added activities that generate revenue and drive other improvements. RPA can eliminate human error and duplication in the sales CRM, resulting in less rework, higher quality outputs, and more streamlined processes. You need to identify the workflow for the process mapping and recognize the application and bot integration to find the solution.
    Application Involved:
Salesforce - Sales CRM tool to follow up on service levels
