Course description

  • What is the focus of this course?

The online Amazon EC2 course lays emphasis on providing you with a detailed understanding of Amazon EC2 fundamentals such as EC2 instance types, pricing, placement groups, etc. Modules 9, 10, 11, 12 cover Auto Scaling, Amazon Web Service, Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, and Command Line Interface methodologies. Modules 12 and 13 focus on Amazon EC2 best practices and costs. This course contains hands-on practice modules to help you launch and connect to an EC2 Linux and Windows instance.

  • What are the course objectives?

By the end of Simplilearn’s Amazon EC2 online training course, developers will be able to build failure resilient applications and isolate them from common failure scenarios, configure compute capacity with ease and minimal cost, control computing resources, and also achieve  the following:

    • Understand the basic concepts of Amazon EC2
    • Learn about Amazon Elastic Book Store (EBS), Elastic Load Balancing (ELB) and implement them
    • Gain knowledge of EC2 best practices and costs
    • Configure ELB
    • Grasp AWS Lambda, Elastic Beanstalk, and Command Line Interface terminologies
    • Launch and connect to ECB Linux and Windows instance
    • Create an Amazon Machine Image (AMI)

  • Who should do this course?

The course is designed to make web-scale cloud computing easy for developers.

    • How would a certificate from Simplilearn help me?

In today’s era where technologies and best practices are changing rapidly and demand for qualified    candidates is significantly increasing, a certificate from Simplilearn is the key to your success and a valuable add-on in your resume. Our training courses are designed and updated by 2000+ renowned industry experts, and more than 40 global training organizations have recognized us as an official provider of certification training.

    • What are the prerequisites of this course?

Basic knowledge of computer hardware, database, and network standards is needed.

    • What is Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2)?

Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2) is a web service that gives resizable compute capacity in the cloud and makes web-scale computing easier for developers.

    • What are the benefits of Amazon EC2?

Amazon EC2 enables “compute” in the cloud. Amazon EC2’s simple web service interface allows you to configure capacity and control your computing resources. It also reduces the time required to obtain and boot new server instances to minutes, allowing you to quickly scale capacity.

    • What can developers now do that they could not before?

Until now, small developers did not have the capital to get hold of massive compute resources that are  necessary to handle unexpected spikes in load. Amazon EC2 enables any developer to leverage Amazon’s own benefits of massive scale with no up-front investment.

    • Is the training live, or will I watch pre-recorded videos?

This course is conducted via live, interactive sessions. This enables you to ask questions and engage in discussions at any point during the class. Additionally, we also provide recordings of the sessions attended by you for your future reference.
