  • What’s the focus of this course?

    Simplilearn’s Developing Microsoft® SharePoint® Server 2013 Advanced Solutions course is designed to impart in-depth understanding and practical know-how of the SharePoint 2016 environment, enabling candidates to implement SharePoint solutions using Enterprise Search, Managed Metadata Service (MMS), Business Connectivity Services (BCS), Enterprise Content Management (ECM), Web Content Management (WCM), Social Computing features, and SharePoint Apps.

    • Develop an in-depth understanding of search services in SharePoint 2016
    • Learn to create and execute queries using KQL and FQL
    • Create and modify search queries as well as manage search results
    • Work with eDiscovery; create and manage information and automate record management
    • Develop web content solutions for publishing purposes using Publishing API
    • Develop an understanding of various features of SharePoint 2016 like device channels and managed navigation and variations, to build websites that are mobile friendly and support multiple languages
    • Optimize websites for search engines and optimize content rendering performance and scalability
    • Develop BCS solutions
    • Configure advanced business data connectivity models and configure SharePoint 2013 external event notifications feature for notifications in case external data changes
    • Work with business data in client applications, custom solutions, and composite solutions
    • Manage user profile data and user profile properties
    • Understand the social features in SharePoint 2013
    • Develop apps to extend and customize the social workload
    • Monitor and debug SharePoint solutions and apps to improve performance and scalability

  • What are the prerequisites for the certification?

    Ideally, the candidate should have:
    • Practical know-how of Visual Studio 2010 or Visual Studio 2012 to develop solutions
    • Practical understanding of SharePoint solution development, either in SharePoint 2013 or in earlier versions of SharePoint
    • Practical know-how of Visual C# and .NET Framework 4.5
    • A basic understanding of ASP.NET and server-side web development technologies
    • Practical know-how of client-side web technologies including HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
