I live in Frankfurt, Germany, and for the past 22 years, I have been working for BASF, a large chemical production company. I am currently the director of digital strategy after working in many different roles. I have been a part of BASF’s business development team, strategy team, sales team, engineering team, and commercial leadership. While the company has a business-to-business orientation, there is a greater emphasis on inbound digital marketing strategies. Because I only had a rudimentary knowledge of digital marketing, I knew there was a gap in my skillset I needed to address. After researching my educational options, I enrolled in Simplilearn’s Digital Marketing course.

So far, my learning experience with Simplilearn has been rewarding. While I haven’t completed the entire course, I have derived a lot of value, which has increased my confidence.  

Keeping Up with Change

I firmly believe that people should keep learning at every stage of their profession because the world is changing as fast as ever, especially for those at managerial and leadership levels. For example, I faced digital marketing-related challenges over the past few years. Because my educational background consisted of classical marketing, I knew I needed to upskill my talents.

Before choosing Simplilearn, I researched and even started taking a course on a competitor’s website, but I wasn’t satisfied. I found that Simplilearn had a superior offering content-wise, and the cost was very affordable. 

Simplilearn has been an enriching experience. I think online classes offer a good value, and the flexibility of learning on your own time is a cherry on top of the cake. There was a good balance between practical and theoretical learning and a good interaction level between learners and instructors. The self-learning modules are precious, and I refer to them regularly.

I am an industrial and product design graduate who started working as a designer in 2008. After working in the industry for over 10 years, in 2019, I left my job at Formula D Interactive as a senior product designer to pursue a full-time career as a freelancer. 

I had always been interested in coding, so I chose to make a career in that field. However, I realized there were some gaps in my knowledge that I needed to fill to be successful; namely, I wanted a solid introduction to Python language fundamentals. I also considered that knowing Python would help me get more clients. So, in 2020, I enrolled in Simplilearn’s Python Certification Course.

After I took the course, I experienced a 20 percent increase in the number of projects I landed, and my earnings increased by 30 percent. I also took on three more clients since completing the course. 

Simplilearn Was the Right Choice

Simplilearn is the learning partner of Deviare Organization, a South African company focusing on technology skills development. So, I got a scholarship from the organization to take up the course. Preparing for the Certification With Simplilearn

It was a truly rewarding experience. When I was looking for Lean Six Sigma preparation courses, I came across Simplilearn. Working in the public health sector, I deal with data daily. I am originally from Nigeria, where I started my career, but when I came to Canada, I found that the work environment and how they manage data are slightly different. Naturally, I wanted to fit in and be current with the field’s latest trends, so I enrolled in Simplilearn’s Data Analyst Master’s Program. I also believed it would help me improve at my job.

I found that Simplilearn’s course helped me understand data better, and I have been able to streamline my work in terms of data visualization. These days, there are so many different tools available, and I learned Tableau, Python, R, and other tools and have started using them at my job.

My professional journey began in 2017 as a Project Trainee at the Defense Research and Development Organization (DRDO).
