  • How many attempts do I have to pass the SAFe exam?

    The course registration fee includes the first two exam attempts, provided both attempts are taken within 60 days of course completion. If you need a third attempt or any additional attempt, a retake fee will apply.

    • Third attempt (First Retake): Can be taken immediately after the second failed attempt.
    • Fourth attempt (Second Retake): Can be taken 10 days after the third attempt.
    • Fifth attempt (Third Retake): Can be taken 30 days after the fourth attempt.
    • Any further attempts: Require a 30-day waiting period between each attempt.

  • How soon can I retake the SAFe Scrum Master exam?

    The SAFe® Scrum Master course fee includes the first two exam attempts, provided both attempts are completed within 60 days of course completion.

    The second attempt can be taken immediately after the first attempt. For additional retakes, the following policy applies:

    • Third attempt (first paid retake): Immediate

    Following are the three steps involved in the certification process for a SAFe Scrum Master:


    Step One: Attend the Leading SAFe course.
    Step Two: Attempt the SAFe Scrum Master online test by Scaled Agile.
    Step Three: Pass the test with a minimum score of 33 out of 45 questions answered correctly (73-percent passing score).

  • How long is the SAFe Scrum Master Certification valid for?

    SAFe Scrum Master Certification is valid for one year after you pass your exam.

  • Who provides the certification?

  • What is the SAFe Scrum Master exam pattern and passing score?

    The Certified SAFe Scrum Master SSM certification exam is online-based with 90 minutes duration. There will be a total of 45 multiple-choice questions, and each question carries one point. You need to acquire at least 33 marks out of 45 or 73% to pass the certification exam.

  • What is the difficulty level of the SAFe Scrum Master exam?

    The difficulty level of the Certified SAFe Scrum Master exam ranges from intermediate to difficult. The questions are directed to test your SAFe framework knowledge and Scrum Master roles. If you have completed the SSM training course and thoroughly prepared for the certification exam, it would not be challenging.

  • How much does SAFe Scrum Master certification cost?
