With the population in the city at nearly 900,000, it is the second most densely populated city in the United States. It is a very diverse city, with whites making up only 48% of the total population. Asians
are about 33% while the rest belong to Hispanic and other races.
The residents of San Francisco are a strong unit and come together to work during a crisis. This was especially evident in the earthquake and fire of 1906 when about three quarters of the city was destroyed. However, it was quickly rebuilt in no time.

Despite being only about 47 square miles in total, there are a number of attractions in San Francisco. If you’re interested in history, you can visit the infamous Alcatraz Island.
