Step 1: Training
Sign up for Simplielearn’s PSM training course to understand the basic concepts of the Scrum framework, its values, and principles. This training empowers you with the necessary know-how and skills, enabling you to undertake the role of a Scrum Master successfully.
Step 2: Exam
After completing your training, SL will share your exam access code. Use this code to book your PSM exam. This exam usually involves multiple-choice questions designed to test your scrum knowledge.
Step 3: Get Certified
Once you clear the exam, scrum.org will share your Professional Scrum Master certificate.

The exam fee is USD 200 per attempt, which includes a free Credly digital credential. The certification has lifetime validity, and no annual renewal fee is required.
Exam Format: The PSM certification exam (or assessment) is an online, open-book exam. The format is:

Duration: 1 hour (60 minutes)
Pass mark: 85%
These questions can be easy or complex and will ask about various parts of the Scrum framework. You'll need to use your understanding of the topic to answer questions about real-life situations.
To clear the Professional Scrum Master (PSM) certification test, you must score at least 85%. Around 68 out of the total 80 questions need to be answered correctly. This test is online and can be taken from home if your internet connection is stable and your device meets the technical requirements.
After attending the Simplilearn course, if you attempt the PSM exam within 14 days and do not score at least 85%, you will be given a 2nd attempt at no cost.
You can take as many attempts as you need, but you will have to pay the requisite fee for each new attempt.
