What are the prerequisites for the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification?
To earn an Advanced CSM, you must have:
- An active CSM certification with Scrum Alliance®
- Demonstrate at least one year of work experience specific to the role of ScrumMaster (within the past 5 years).
What is the process to get the Advanced Certified ScrumMaster certification?
Step 1: Get trained
Take the 2-day A-CSM training course from a Global Registered Education Provider of Scrum Alliance like Simplilearn. After successful completion of the course, you will receive a welcome email from Scrum Alliance.
2. Validate experience
Log in to Scrum Alliance, complete your profile, and accept the License Agreement. Validate at least 12 months of Scrum Master experience (within the past five years).
3. Become an Advanced-Certified Scrum Master!
On validating your Scrum Master experience, you will be able to instantly download your A-CSM® certification instantly! You're now an Advanced Certified Scrum Master!What do I need to do to unlock my Simplilearn certificate?
You must attend one complete batch to unlock your Simplilearn certificate.
Is there any exam for ACSM certification?
There is no examnination conducted for the ACSM certificatin. You have to only attend the 2 day training program and meet the eligibility criteria to unlock the certificate.
How do I renew my ACSM certification?
You would need to renew your A-CSM certification every 2 years.
The cost for renewal is $175, which extends the credential for a further period of 2 years from the date of your current expiration.
You are also required to earn 30 Scrum Educational Units (SEUs) within the past two years, in addition to the $175 renewal fee. You can earn the required SEUs by completing an educational training or a learning opportunity.
Renewing ACSM will automatically renew your all other Scrum Alliance certifications as well.
In order to renew your ScrumMaster certification, you would need to login to Scrum Alliance website.
