How I Achieved a PMI-PMP® Credential? An E-Mail Interview With Mr. Sonal Chourasia, PMP®: Senior Consultant at Saksham Solutions, Mumbai, India
1. When did you start preparing for PMP® Certification?
I started preparing for PMP® certification sometime around 15 Oct 2011 after joining Simplilearn online PMP® training course. But I couldn't enroll for the exam till May 2012 because of my busy schedule. I cleared PMP® exam attaining a PMP® certification on the 1st week of May.
2. How many hours of preparation did you put in on a daily basis?
Dedicating around 1-2 hours for 3 months can easily sail you through PMP® exam.
3. Which were your main focus areas for the preparation?
My focus areas for the PMP® exam preparation were all the five process groups of Project Management and more specifically cost management and time management.

10. Can you suggest topics to concentrate on PMP® aspirants to succeed in the PMP® Exam?
Concentrate on all the topics equally, go for PMP® mock tests which will let you know your weak links then again revisit those topics.
11. What advice do you have for our PMP® certification aspirants?
