The Journey 

After completing my graduation and post graduation, I joined MITECH as a Delivery Head. I worked there for almost 8 years, and then joined Value Labs as a Project Manager. Based on my performance and work ethic, I was then promoted to Senior Project Manager after 2 years. Currently, I am working as an Assistant General Manager at Al Tomouh IT LLC located in Muscat, Oman. I have been a technical officer at the company for the past 1.5 years. 

The Challenge 

I aim to become a Chief Technical Officer in the long-run. I want to keep upscaling my technical knowledge to be able to lead a team of  technical managers. 

I was looking for an opportunity to change my career path. Being a program manager was fun, but I wanted to explore the technical side of handling a project and hence, Business Analytics. From a project manager to assistant general manager, the journey has been thrilling and it was because of my decision to upskill, that I could make it.

I did an extensive research on online courses that could help me upskill and came across Simplilearn’s CBAP Certification Training Course. The course helps in staying relevant to rapid changes in the IT industry and competencies in all aspects of business analysis.

I am a mechatronics engineer with a post graduation in strategic business management and project management. I am currently leading processes improvement and data analytics projects for Merck KgaA in Germany, one of the top pharmaceutical companies in the world. I have five years of experience as a project and product manager in Mexico, the United States, and Germany. 

While an intern with Merck KgaA, I pursued Simplilearn’s Post Graduate Program in Business Analysis with Generative AI. It was the perfect step toward gaining more confidence and better managing projects. After completing the course, I was offered a full-time position and was assigned new tasks. In addition, I also was given a 300 percent salary increase. 

I am now a certified PMP® by the PMI®, a ScrumMaster, and a SAFE® Agilist. I aspire to have a higher management role where I can manage my portfolio of projects.

I particularly enjoyed the business cases, which demonstrated a practical application of concepts. 

Simplilearn provided training on Excel, Tableau, and several other analytics tools. The course catered to a lot of skills. The ability to attend the lectures, flexible learning, and all the resources at-hand improved the learning experience. It felt like I was learning in a real-life classroom, and the material available such as ebooks was extremely easy to understand and helpful.

For me having clear career goals has always been important. It helps me understand what I need to aim for and how my journey is going to start. I always found Analytics fascinating, things you can do with data is amazing. My journey isn’t a traditional one at all.

While working at Accenture, I wanted to try for a role in analytics, but I didn’t have the heart to pursue my dreams because I didn’t have the necessary background. My amazing managers at my company encouraged me to take courses and acquire new marketable skills.

After extensive research and comparing different learning options, I found Simplilearn which offered courses that were more comprehensive, had a great variety of offerings and had an easier learning path. Plus, Simplilearn also offered the online flexibility I needed for his current work schedule.

So, I took the leap towards my new career goals and enrolled in Simplilearn’s Business Analyst Certification online course. The course was truly magnificent. The content, study material, and the videos are outstanding. If someone wants to get into analytics, this is a great course to take and acquire the required skills. I would definitely recommend this course and Simplilearn.
