The Agile Certified Practitioner exam is conducted by the PMI. The PMI-ACP examination consists of 120 multiple choice questions to be answered in 3 hours. Of the 120 questions, 20 are experimental questions and the remaining 100 actually count towards your final score. You cannot identify which of the 120 questions are experimental and therefore you need to attempt all of them with equal focus and importance.

PMI-ACP Exam Fees
The fee for computer-based test is $435 for members and $495 for non-member. On the other hand the re-examination fee is $335 for members and $395 for non-members. The membership for one year costs $119 plus a one-time $10 joining fee ($129 in all). The membership does provide some additional benefits, which includes the ability to freely download the PMI standards, access to the PMI online library, subscription to PMI publications like the PM Network, discounts to PMI events and conferences etc.
PMI-ACP Exam Eligibility Criteria
- Educational background: A secondary degree (a high school diploma or associate degree) or higher.
- General Project Management experience: 2000 hours (or 12 months) of experience of working on Project teams in the past 5 years. Note: These 12 months may or may not have been spent on projects following agile methodologies.
- Agile Project Management experience: 1500 hours (or 8 months) of experience of working on Agile methodologies in the past 2 years. This could be any of the known Agile methodologies (including Scrum, Extreme programming, DSDM, FDD, Crystal etc.)
- Agile Project Management Training: At least 21 hours of education on Agile project management topics.
