As documented by Sriram Sridharan.

I decided mid-career that a PMP® Program could improve my project management skills and help me be more valuable at work.

I earned a bachelor’s in production engineering from the National Institute of Technology, Tiruchirappalli, and received a master’s in industrial engineering from Texas A&M University. I worked in the U.S. for three years, starting with GE as a product safety engineer in its power and water division. Next, I moved to a start-up and worked as an operations manager. I returned to India in 2014 to work for Shell as a material data engineer.

Then I got the opportunity to work as a team lead for Hewlett Packard Enterprise’s business intelligence team. After taking on additional responsibilities, I felt that a project management certification would help me better understand project processes.

After completing the course and passing my PMP examination, I received a new job offer along with a healthy pay rise. Currently, I am the program manager for Applied Materials’ industrial engineering team. I plan to enroll in Data Analytics Courses from Simplilearn in the future!
